Skiing around Europe
I have to admit it was a big event. Skiing on Kopaonik for years makes you feel confortable and relaxed. But when I saw the gigantic Val Gardena it was a new experience. I can not even start describing the huge number of slopes. You can ski for hours without skiing the same track. Amazing. Hopefully in the future I will be able to explore more places around Europe. Especcially since I have my new Lange ski boots. Yupiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

What we have learned so far
So here is the knowledge we share after living together (from Paulo's point of view) :-):
Romania is here...
Finish the job
Divning
Respect!
Bike locks are important
Fucking Ell
Pasta with Salad
Italian Boy
45 day holidays
Swimming at 6:30
The Continent
Heating is complex
Mac's keyboard has lights
Stratford sucks
Skateboarding rules
Bikes are dangerous
Brazilian jokes
Any Italian thing is excellent.
Lady Boss
Capoeira is not a dance
Men formal suits are haven't changed at all since the 50's
Bidets are important
Never try anybody's drink from their glasses
This is Madness
I am the Scrabble Master
In the US people get shot
Completely dead
Completely irrational
Dying laughing
Jiveli
Svaka ti dala
Don't drink and fly
5 o'clock tea
The Curve rules
Beijinho!
Grilos are bugs
Caipirinha
Skiing trousers are a bit too hot for The Curve
Mice (rats) are smart
Hellas Verona Football Club
Real Christmas are in the summer.
15 min swim = 45 min swim
If you permute the letters in "MELISA" you get "EMAILS"
Squash courts are annoying
It's Christmas... at Maggie and Rose...
Serbia is here.

The curse of wanting more
There are two type of people: the ones that stay in their country and the ones who "dare" to go abroad. The first group have job in their country, with family all around and friends to go out with, all familiar places and things. Things don't change much and that is nice. The second group goes somewhere for various reasons wanting who knows what. For them things change, and change, and change. A lot!
Doing a PhD in London means a lot of things for me: meeting new people, trying new food, learning new phrases and swear words of new languages :-), learning about new cultures, new customs, different combination of food in the same meal and so on (one day I have to start writing what i have learned while staying in London). But it also mean people coming and going all the time.
Well this is something I can not get used to. After living with someone they become your family. You share their problems, happy moments, dilemmas and fun. And they unfortunately share your bad moods apart from other things :-). As I am writing this, my "London family" is going to Australia and who knows when I am going to see them again. I am so sad. That can be understood only if you live with someone. I am going to miss them so.
I feel like losing one part of me.
